Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
for chocolate cake sponge:
All purpose flour 2 ½ cup
Caster Sugar 1 cup
Egg 3
Salt pinch
Baking powder ½ tsp
Baking soda 1 tbs
Cooking oil half cup
Milk half cup
Cocoa powder 5 tbs
Butter 2 tbs
Vanilla essence few drops
Butter paper
For chocolate syrup
Cocoa powder 5 tbs
Water ½ cup
Caster sugar 8 tbs
For Chocolate Frosting
Chocolate 400g
Whipping cream 300ml
Vanilla essence few drops
Coco powder 2 tbs
Cream 2 tbs
Chocolate chips for garnishing
Method:
Prepare chocolate cake
Firstly, seprate egg yolks from eggs and set aside
In a bowl add egg whites and beat continuosly for 10 minutes with the help of beater when the egg become formy and double in quantity take of beater.
In another bowl add all purpose flour ,caster sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, coco powder and mix well and set aside.
In a small bowl, add egg yolks, milk, cooking oil, vanilla essence and beat well. Add this mixture in to dry mixture and fold well.
Then add egg white mixture and fold slowly untill the mixture is well combined.
Grease 8" inch cake mold with butter an line with butter paper.
Pour cake batter in to greased cake mold and bake in pre heated oven 180 C for 30 minutes.
After 30 mintues check cake with match stick if cake is done so take out cake mold from oven and let it cool.
Preparing Chocolate syrup:
In a bowl add cocoa powder, caster suger, hot water and whisk well and put aside.
Preparing Chocolate Frosting:
Place a bowl on double boiler and add chocolate for melt, then add whipping cream, coco powder, vanilla essence whisk well until smooth.
Pour chcolate frosting mixture in to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Take a bowl add ice cubes, then put chocolate bowl on it and beat well with beater for 10-15 minutes until the mixture is formy and soft then transfer in to piping bag.
Assembling:
Remove cake from cake mold and cut cake horizontally in to 3 layers.
Place first layer of cake on cake strand and brush cake layer with chocolate syrup.
Now spread chocolate frosting on cake layer then place another cake layer and apply chocolate syrup with the help of brush.
Repeat this process with top layer and cover the top and cake sides with prepared chocolate frosting and sprinkle chocolate chips and let it chilled.
Yummy Moist Chocolate Cake is ready and enjoy.
