Beef Haleem

Beef Haleem:




Ingredients:

-Gandum (Wheat) 1 Cup (soaked overnight)

-Jau (Barley) 1 Cup (soaked overnight)

-Chana daal  ¾ Cup (soaked overnight)

-Mash daal  ½ Cup (soaked overnight)

-Masoor daal  ½ Cup (soaked overnight)

-Moong daal  ½ Cup (soaked overnight)

-Chawal  ¼ Cup (soaked overnight)

-Water 2 litres or as required

-Boiling water as required

-Beef (boneless) ½ kg

-Cooking oil 1 Cup

-Darchini (Cinnamon sticks) 2-3

-Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) 10-11

-Tez patta (Bay leaves) 2-3

-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 2 medium

-Ginger garlic paste(adrak lehsun paste) 1 & ½ tbs

-Hari mirch paste (Green chilli) paste 1 & ½ tbs

- Red chilli powder 1 & ½ tbs or to taste

-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tbs

-Namak (Salt) 1 tbs or to taste

-Garam masala powder 1 tsp

-Dahi (Yogurt) 1 Cup

-Water as required

-Namak (Salt) ½ tbs or to taste

Hara dhania (fresh coriander)1 bunch

-Podena(Mint) 1 bunch


Tadka:

-Cooking oil 4-5 tbs

-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 1 small

For Assemblings:

Garam masala powder ¼ tsp

-Pyaz (Onion) fried

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped

-Chaat masala,

-Lemon


Method:

-In a pot add wheat,barley all lentils,rice and water,mix well,bring it to boil andcover  a lid then cook on low flame until the mixture is tender.


-In boiling water,add beef,bring it to boil and cover a lid when the beef is tender,shrede the beef strain the water and put aside.


-In a pot,add cooking oil,cinnamon sticks,black pepper bay leaves.

-Add onion, fry it till the color of onion turns light golden.


-Add shreded beef,ginger garlic paste,green chilli paste & mix well.


-Add red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,salt,garam masala powder and mix well.


-Then add yogurt, fresh coriander,mint mix well and cook for 5 minute 


-Remove bay leaves,cinnamon sticks.


-Turn off flame and mash well with the help of masher or mixer.


-Mash lentil mixture with the help of mixer


 Now add cooked beef gravy,mix well & mash again then add salt and mix well


Prepare Tadka:


In frying pan,add cooking oil, onion and fry until its golden brown


Now add tadka into haleem.mixtureH

Haleem(Daleem) is ready to serve.Assembled with  lemon,garam masala, chat masala and fried onions..
